We take very special care to develop a genuine therapeutic relationship with our clients and benefit from access to a wide range of professionals and therapeutic approaches to best match the needs of our clients to the most effective treatment.
The team at WIPC offer a range of assessment and treatment services to adults, young people, children and families with respect to psychological health and well-being. We aim to promote psychological resilience and work with individuals, couples, families and groups where clients are experiencing anxiety, panic, sadness, helplessness and obsessive compulsive thoughts and behaviour problems.
We work with a range of parenting techniques including attachment based therapies, psycho-education and non-violent resistence to support parents to help their children who are aggressive, violent or beyond their control.
We also have considerable experience of safeguarding work, and work with children and young people who are victims of sexual, physical and emotional harm, and neglect.
Some of the team have highly specialist training and experience in working with children, young people, families, foster and adoption families and other carers looking after children with significant attachment difficulties.
WIPC has developed an interest in supporting children with neurodevelopmental and neuropsychological difficulties, including providing robust assessment and recommendations. We see children, young people and adults presenting with social and communication disorders, attention and working memory problems, language and communication problems and non-verbal learning difficulties. We work with clients of all abilities and seek to promote resilience and psychological well-being.
